Celebrate Pride with First Church UU of Leominster – June 7, 2026

On Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM, First Church UU of Leominster warmly invites you to join us for a special Pride Service celebrating the beauty, strength, and diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community.

This uplifting and affirming service will center love, inclusion, and belonging, with a particular focus on supporting and uplifting our transgender siblings. Together, we will honor the courage it takes to live authentically, reflect on the power of community, and celebrate the sacred worth of every individual.

At First Church, we believe that everyone deserves to be seen, valued, and embraced exactly as they are. This service is an opportunity not only to celebrate Pride, but to stand in solidarity, deepen our understanding, and reaffirm our commitment to justice, compassion, and equality for all.

Following the service, all are invited to stay for a joyful Rainbow Brunch Potluck — a time to connect, share stories, and build community in a relaxed and welcoming space. Whether you come on your own or with friends and family, you’ll find open hearts and friendly faces.

No matter where you are on your journey, you are welcome here.
We hope you’ll join us for this meaningful and celebratory morning.

Your Story Can Change the World
Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 10:00 AM
First Church Unitarian Universalist of Leominster

What if your story mattered more than you think?

In a world that often celebrates big, polished, “successful” stories, it’s easy to believe that our own experiences are too small, too messy, or too unfinished to make a difference.

But what if the opposite is true?

What if the moments that shaped you—the quiet turning points, the challenges you’ve faced, the lessons you’ve learned—are exactly what someone else needs to hear?

On Sunday, May 17, we invite you to join us for a meaningful and inspiring service exploring the idea that your story has the power to create connection, spark change, and help others feel less alone. Our speaker is Shay Bradham, author of Activism for Introverts: 9 Simple Ways Anyone Can Change the World.

How Sharing Your Story Reflects Our UU Values
When we share our stories, we’re not just speaking—we’re living our values in real, meaningful ways:

• Affirming the inherent worth and dignity of every person
When you share your story, you honor your own lived experience—and create space for others to feel seen and valued as well.
• Deepening our connection within the interdependent web
Stories remind us that we are not alone. They weave us together through shared experiences, empathy, and understanding.
• Engaging in a free and responsible search for truth and meaning
Reflecting on and sharing your story is part of making sense of your life—and helping others in their own journeys.
• Practicing compassion and empathy
When we speak honestly and listen deeply, we build bridges of understanding that transcend differences.
• Building authentic and inclusive community
Vulnerability fosters trust. Trust creates belonging. And belonging is at the heart of a thriving UU community.
• Supporting justice and transformation
Stories have the power to humanize, to awaken, and to inspire action. Sharing our truths can help create a more just and compassionate world.

Whether you feel called to share your story or simply to listen and reflect, this service offers a space to explore what your experiences mean—and how they might matter more than you realize.

All are welcome.

Whether you’ve been attending for years or are simply curious, we would love to have you join us.

Service begins at 10:00 AM.
Come as you are.
Your story belongs here.

As the moon begins a new cycle, so too can we. Join us on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 7:00 PM at First Church Unitarian Universalist in Leominster for a peaceful and welcoming New Moon Gathering. This event is a chance to pause, reflect, and reconnect—with ourselves, with nature, and with each other.

The new moon is a time of renewal—a quiet invitation to set intentions, plant seeds of hope, and imagine what we’d like to grow in the weeks ahead. It’s not about having all the answers. It’s about taking a breath, stepping into stillness, and opening ourselves to possibility.

Whether you're deeply spiritual, just beginning to explore earth-centered practices, or simply looking for a moment of calm in your week, you'll be warmly welcomed. Our time together will include:

• A brief reflection on the energy of the new moon

• Space for journaling or quiet contemplation

• Simple rituals to help release the old and invite in the new

• A sense of community and shared intention

There’s no cost to attend, and no expectations—just an open heart and the willingness to be present.

We gather at First Church UU, located at 15 West Street in Leominster. Come as you are, and leave feeling grounded, renewed, and gently inspired for the month ahead.

We hope you’ll join us for this evening of reflection, intention, and quiet connection. Blessed be.

Join us for our Ostara Gathering and Potluck on March 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM!

Ostara is a Pagan festival celebrated on the Spring Equinox, marking the balance of day and night and the return of longer, warmer days. It is named after the Germanic goddess Eostre and is associated with themes of renewal, fertility, and new beginnings. Many modern Pagans celebrate Ostara with rituals, planting seeds, decorating eggs, and honoring the changing of the seasons.

We will have a short service followed by an extended Fellowship (with a Potluck!) time.
